More migrant crossings feared if plan to redeploy Border Force ship goes

New figures obtained by The Telegraph suggest about 200 migrants, among them children as young as 18 months, have attempted to navigate the Channel to reach Britain from France in the past two months.  A plan to deploy more Border Force cutters to rescue migrants trying to cross the Channel in tiny boats risks encouraging more people smuggling gangs, Whitehall sources have admitted.
