A few schools from closer to home are after him hard, working for a flip.Watson pledged to Tom Herman and the Texas staff back in May. 94-percent of the analysts to register predictions at 247’s crystal ball believe he will wind up there. The Florida Gators and Tennessee Volunteers are both still very involved.247 writes that Kenyatta Watson could take trips to both of those programs in the next few weeks.Neither is set up, but Tennessee finishes the year with two home games, as it looks to surprise by reaching bowl eligibility in year one under Jeremy Pruitt.Florida hosts Idaho on Saturday, but it seems unlikely that he would make a visit in just two days, though he is from Georgia so it is driveable. The Gators finish up at Florida State, though a visit could also happen after the year. From 247:“This four-star defensive back has been committed to the Texas Longhorns since May and has been very solid in that pledge. However in recent months he’s been a bit more open with the process. He popped up in Knoxville for an unofficial visit in September and could possibly make another official visit to see Tennessee again before the early signing period takes place. The Gators have also been in touch with Watson in recent weeks and could be another visit that takes shape before he puts pen to paper. The Vols seem to be in a much better shape to pull off the possible flip where things stand now, but if that visit to Gainesville does come to fruition it could be something to watch.”Watson is No. 148 in the country overall, and No. 16 among class of 2019 cornerbacks.[247Sports]last_img
