Congratulations to Bridanna Ní Bhaoill on winning the County Scór recitation title on Saturday Night.The under 10 and under 12 teams are going to Dublin on a club trip on Saturday March 24th. We will be taking part in a blitz hosted by Ballyboden Wanderers with whom we have a long friendship with. We will then attend the Donegal v Dublin national league match under lights at Croke Park. There is also a hurling game taking place in Croke Park that evening between Dublin and Tipperary. We return home after the match. We encourage as many players and coaches as possible to go on the trip. We will take names this coming week at training or contact Charlie Boyle, Joe Glynn or Gary The under 8s and under 10s continue training this Saturday at the Sportshall at the RCS. Training may be outdoors this Saturday morning training on the Astro-pitch. The under 8s will train from 11am – 12pm with the under 10s training from 12pm – 1pm.The under 12 boys began training outdoors last Saturday and will continue training at the Banks on Saturdays 11.30am – 12.30pm. Training continues every Tuesday at the RCS from 7pm – 8pm.The Seniors are out in the Gaeltacht this weekend on Sunday against Dungloe with a 11am throw in.John Gillespie of Gillespie Engineering has donated a set of kit bags to the Club Senior side for their year ahead in Div 2. The Club are most grateful to John and Gillespie Engineering for this sponsorship as well as the sponsorship last year. Local sponsors are an important part of the Clubs success. Nicole Logan has joined Danny’s backroom team along with Finbar McBride and Charles Doogan. Finbar and Charles played a huge part in helping both senior and reserve teams last year and with Nicole added to that team we will have the support needed to ensure everything is in place for games.Training for Peil na mBan continues in Aishlann Rann Na Feirste every wed night at 7.30. Teams entered for competitions this year are u14, u16, minors girls and Junior Ladies. We are putting a plan together to enter u12 girls in the blitz format. There is urgent need for junior ladies to start attending training. The club are sending 11 adults on Donegal ladies fundamental coaching and training course this weekend. Peil na mBan registration is on Friday night in the clubhouse at 6-7PM.A second show for the Jigs and Reels has been announced for March 30th with tickets for the extra show on sale at the Cope Annagry this Saturday morning at 10am and then all Cope Supermarkets and Stephen O’Donnell’s, Crolly.Lotto details for week 22nd February.
