Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales increased grants in 2010 Howard Lake | 13 May 2011 | News The Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales increased its grantmaking in 2010 to £24.5 million in 2010 up from £20.6 million in 2009, according to its Annual Report, published yesterday.One of the UK’s leading grant makers, Foundation supports charities that help disadvantaged people to play a fuller role in the community. Over the past three years it has helped support over 2,500 jobs and 12,300 volunteering opportunities at nearly 3,000 charities that provide much needed local and community services.The Foundation also reports that its support has helped yield further funding from other sources for over 500 charities.Lorna Butterick, Business Manager, Project Challenge, Calderdale said: “The funding from Lloyds TSB Foundation means we can continue to run our service and support the many young NEET [not in employment, education or training] people who come to us from within the community needing help to build their self-esteem and confidence to achieve qualifications and improve their live chances and choices.”Linda Kelly, Chief Executive of Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales, said: “We are delighted to be able to respond with a significantly increased investment at a time of major cuts and changes.
